One of our goals when children come to Eagle Ranch is to “slow down” their world and help them move away from the influence of social media and what others say about them. We do this primarily by limiting their access to technology and television.
Our language arts teacher, Amanda Akin, recently led our boys and girls in a reflective writing assignment. Some of those writings are included in this issue. We feel this exercise has really opened the door to self-discovery for many of our children. Learning who they are and how their past has influenced them will enrich their journey into a positive future. Our Eagle Ranch community is honored to be part of that journey, and I hope you enjoy reading the children’s insights.
