“Wow . . . 15 years. It’s hard to believe it’s been that long since I first laid eyes on the Ranch. It’s crazy how things have come full circle for me. I now have an 8-year-old little boy. He’s so intelligent, so handsome, so sweet, and yet so willful.

“He’s too smart for his own good, and when he makes a decision, he too digs his heels in. At times, I see him walking down the same path I once walked . . . the one filled with blunders and wrong decisions, hurtful words and even more hurtful actions, and it pains me.

“Because of my time at the Ranch, I am able to sit my baby bear down, take a deep breath, look him in the eyes, and have a conversation. He and I, we are a work in progress. But if there is one thing I know, it’s that I would never have made it this far on my own.”
