Eagle Ranch is not an emergency shelter or short-term program. The admissions process may take up to four weeks, and application must be completed by the child’s legal guardian. Prior to asking a family to call and begin the intake process we encourage you as the referral source to call our intake department directly at 770-967-8500 if you have any questions, concerns or to discuss the case.
Step 1: You as the Referral Source Contacts Eagle Ranch. Speak with the Intake Counselor or Referral Coordinator about the child and family you are considering referring.
Step 2: Family Contacts Eagle Ranch. Speaks with Intake Counselor to begin intake process and determine the next step.
*** Necessary Documentation. Paperwork required includes an application school records (academic & behavior), and mental health documentation as determined by intake counselor. Intake Counselor will direct you when each of these items is needed.
Step 3: The Initial Family Interview. If our program seems appropriate, our Intake Counselor will set an appointment and complete the first clinical interview.
Step 4: Final Interviews. If our program continues to appear appropriate, the family will meet with the house team and with Director of Education.
Step 5: Acceptance or Referral. If accepted into the Eagle Ranch program, additional documentation will be needed for admission, and the date of admission will be determined. If the Eagle Ranch program is determined not to be the best option for a family at any time in the process, we will provide a list of referrals upon request.
