Spiritual Life Coordinator

ABOUT EAGLE RANCH: Eagle Ranch is a Christ-centered nonprofit organization located in Flowery Branch, Georgia, that takes a whole family approach to restoring and renewing relationships for children and families. Eagle Ranch was founded in 1985 and has served thousands of children and their families. 

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Spiritual Life Coordinator is a member of the Eagle Ranch Spiritual Life team responsible for providing spiritual leadership, spiritual guidance, and discipleship to the staff and students of Eagle Ranch. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing events to build community among staff and kids in the residential and day school program, and helping to foster an environment that promotes living out biblical principles, encouraging personal faith in Christ and supporting spiritual growth within our community. This role provides an incredible opportunity to influence the lives of children and families, helping to nurture a thriving spiritual environment at Eagle Ranch.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Spiritual Formation

  • Help facilitate the spiritual formation of Eagle Ranch staff through teaching, mentoring, and leading in regular spiritual growth opportunities.
  • Assist in teaching and leading large group devotions at Eagle Ranch School and during summer youth gatherings, fostering an atmosphere where students can grow in their faith and understanding of biblical principles.
  • Develop and implement a spiritual life plan and program for Eagle Ranch School day program students to ensure they are receiving consistent spiritual development throughout the school year.

Pastoral Care

  • Provide spiritual guidance and pastoral care to staff members as needs arise, offering support and encouragement in their personal and professional lives.
  • Spend regular time in Eagle Ranch residential homes to build relationships with children and families, encouraging their spiritual growth through intentional, relational ministry.
  • Lead and develop a student leadership group with older boys and girls, equipping them to live out their faith in meaningful ways and prepare them for future leadership roles.
  • Offer spiritual guidance and mentorship to Eagle Ranch children and families from a biblical worldview, walking alongside them in their faith journey.

Eagle Ranch Events and Leadership

  • Assist with the planning, organizing, and leadership of events such as Dare Nights, SOAR Race, Ranch Family Fest, Basketball League, Parent Insight Nights, and more, ensuring each event promotes spiritual growth and community building.
  • Attend and actively engage in staff meetings, training sessions, staff chapel, and other related activities to foster spiritual growth among the staff.
  • Work alongside the Director of Spiritual Life in local churches to build relationships and represent Eagle Ranch programs and initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree required; seminary education preferred.
  • At least 3 years of ministry experience, including teaching and leading small and large group settings, as well as intentional discipleship relationships.
  • Strong and proven giftedness in communication, both in large and small group settings, with the ability to clearly present biblical principles in an engaging and applicable way.
  • Work or volunteer experience with young people, particularly in a mentorship or discipleship context.
  • Flexibility to work some early mornings/nights/weekends with special events and community outreach.
