I grew up in my native Jamaica, where I had my education up to the undergraduate level and initial teacher certification and practice. I taught high school there, and then moved to the Bahamas where I also taught high school students. This was before I spent 20 years in the Silicon Valley area of Northern California, where I taught physical and life sciences to middle school. I also taught high school physical science in GCPS for a year before joining the staff at ERS.
After an extensive teaching career, I needed an experience that would allow a more focused and in-depth opportunity to help students. ERS, given the class size and numerous other characteristics, allows this opportunity. I feel blessed and fortunate to have been allowed to join this wonderful organization and do intend to be here for a while. I am supported in this mission by my lovely wife Alma and my two grown daughters, who are both graduates of Ivy League institutions. It’s a blessing to serve here.
