Prior to serving in his current role at Eagle Ranch as a Program Director, John Cunnings grew up in a Marine family living on various bases along the East Coast. He attended Covenant College where he majored in Business/Accounting.

While working as an accountant and volunteering at his church’s youth group, he realized his passion for working with kids and families.  John came to work at Eagle Ranch as a Program Assistant in 2004 where he met his future wife, Jordan.

John went on to work as an English ParaPro and PE Coach at Eagle Ranch School.  After their marriage in 2006, John and Jordan became houseparents for Eagle Ranch where they served in the Love Home until 2012 and then the Blessing Home until accepting the position of Homelife Manager in 2017.

Currently, John serves as the Boys Program Director where he is responsible for leading and managing the boys clinical and homelife team to help position children and families to achieve their family goals.

Lastly, the Cunnings have two daughters and a Golden Retriever named Murphy who love being a part of the Eagle Ranch community.
