Outreach Coordinator

Eagle Ranch is now hiring an Outreach Coordinator. 

Position: Outreach Coordinator
Reports to: Director of Development and Outreach
Supervises: None
Status: Full Time
Hours: Monday through Friday, with some weekends/evenings
Location: Flowery Branch, GA

Position Summary: Do you love being involved in the community and making connections? If so, Eagle Ranch has a new position that may be the perfect fit for you. The Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for further strengthening the Ranch’s connections with the surrounding community with the goals of greater community awareness and engagement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Volunteer Engagement

  • Develop a volunteer strategy for the Ranch that will help engage current and potential volunteers
  • Create a Volunteer Opportunity Calendar and coordinate all volunteer activities
  • Build relationships with existing volunteers and volunteer groups
  • Conduct interviews with prospective volunteers to assess their interests and giftedness
  • Recruit volunteers for special projects or programs as needed
  • Develop a system for regular and appropriate “thanking” of our volunteers
  • Serve as liaison between volunteers and staff and be the conduit for smooth communication, follow-up and appreciation

Community Engagement

  • Assess current and potential opportunities that maximize visibility, goodwill and pathways for the next step of engagement with the Ranch, i.e., mission opportunities at churches/businesses, neighborhood/community expos
  • Create a Community Connections/Speaking Calendar to proactively plan speaking, visibility, and engagement opportunities for the Ranch’s Speaker’s Bureau
  • Assist with continuing education/public events hosted on campus that position the Ranch as an industry expert
  • Arrange and conduct group and “walk-in” tours
  • Collaborate on appropriate opportunities for groups to experience Eagle Ranch

Development Support

  • Coordinate major events (The DeWitt Weaver Eagle Ranch Golf Classic, Run the Ranch 5K, Volunteer Appreciation Dinner, Matters of Faith Breakfasts, Ladies Luncheons, Anniversary Galas, etc.) and create and maintain Ranch event calendar
  • Manage special Christmas opportunities (Christmas Wish List, etc.)
  • Help with donor appreciation
  • Assist the Director of Development as needed

Qualifications:

  • Mature and growing Christian actively involved in a community church
  • Bachelor’s degree; Proven experience in relevant position
  • Teachable spirit and willingness to seek counsel
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-assured, comfortable, confident
  • Self-motivated, discerning and able to prioritize amid a multitude of opportunities
  • Energetic, Problem solver
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Strategic and creative thinker
  • Detail-oriented and efficient/multitasker
  • Works independently
