Eagle Ranch has an immediate opening for a part-time Equine Program Manager to manage all aspects of our equine program.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and experienced in teaching horsemanship to all ages, assisting in equine therapy, training and managing the care of horses, and barn management. Equine facilities include a state-of-the-art, six-stall barn and covered riding arena, 20 acres of fenced pastures, and wooded riding trails.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Horse Care: Extensive background caring for horses—overseeing feeding, watering, grooming, training, regular veterinary and farrier visits, seasonal management and sickness/injury care, and managing horse care staff.
Equipment Care: Cleaning, repairing and replacing tack and other gear.
Facility Care: Daily care of the barn; cleaning stalls and bathroom as needed, sweeping concrete surfaces. Overseeing maintenance of pastures, fencing and trails.
School Elective: Teaching safety, horsemanship and riding to children attending our on-campus school.
Equine Therapy: Assisting in therapy sessions with children, parents and staff in conjunction with our licensed counselors. We are interested in investing in training for our manager, which could include becoming certified in the EAGALA model of equine therapy.
To apply, candidates should email their resume and cover letter to Bob Baker at firstname.lastname@example.org and wait to be contacted. Applicants who do not submit a cover letter will not be considered.
Feel free to review the application at this time, but please don’t submit unless you have been contacted to do so. Thank you.
