On-Campus School Receives High Marks in External Evaluation
Flowery Branch, Ga. (PRWEB) March 30, 2016
Eagle Ranch School recently renewed its accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI), an accreditation division of AdvancED. Eagle Ranch School received its initial SACS accreditation in 2005 and has continued to receive renewals upon review every five years.
SACS CASI provides nationally-recognized accreditation, the purpose of which is continuous school improvement focused on increasing student performance. To earn accreditation, schools must meet SACS CASI’s high standards, be evaluated by a team of professionals from outside the school and implement a continuous process of school improvement.
“Accreditation demonstrates to our students, parents and community that we are focused on raising student achievement, providing an enriching learning environment, and maintaining an efficient and effective operation staffed by highly qualified educators,” stated Eagle Ranch Director of Education Jon DeWaal.
The school was commended for powerful practices in the areas of Teaching and Learning Impact, Leadership Capacity and Resource Utilization. Eagle Ranch School scored well above national averages in each of these areas, receiving a perfect score of 400 in the area of Resource Utilization.
“I have never seen a 400 in the area of resource utilization,” noted Pat Summers, External Review Lead Evaluator for AdvancED. “The school has well qualified staff, material and fiscal resources, and a state-of-the-art facility and technology infrastructure. This enables Eagle Ranch to provide services that support its purpose and direction to ensure success for all students. Eagle Ranch School has been most impressive in every way.”
Eagle Ranch credits its exceptional resources to donations that fund specific needs in this area.
“We are fortunate to have donors who greatly value education and have provided funding for curriculum, technology and other resources that make it possible for us to provide students an optimal learning experience,” said Eagle Ranch Founder Eddie Staub. “We value the time we spent with the AdvancED team. This process helps us continually reach new levels of excellence in our school.”
SACS CASI accreditation is recognized across state lines, which not only eases the transfer process as students move from accredited school to accredited school but also assures parents that the school is meeting nationally accepted standards for quality and successful professional practice.
Dr. Mark Elgart, President/CEO of AdvancED, the parent organization of SACS CASI, stated, “SACS CASI Accreditation is a rigorous process that focuses the entire school on the primary goal of creating lifelong learners. Eagle Ranch School is to be commended for engaging in this process and demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement.” Parents and interested community members can learn more about accreditation at advanc-ed.org.
