Professionals and Families Invited to August Events Featuring Ron Deal
Flowery Branch, Ga., July 21, 2016 – Eagle Ranch, one of Georgia’s largest residential children’s programs, will host two workshops in August featuring Ron Deal, a nationally-recognized expert on remarriage and blended families. Both events will be held at Eagle Ranch’s Flowery Branch campus at 5500 Union Church Road.
Professional CEU Workshop, August 12
Therapeutic professionals, ministers and others who serve blended families are invited to attend the first workshop on Friday, August 12, 8:15 a.m.-4 p.m. Entitled, “A Good Blend: Understanding and Counseling Stepfamilies,” the workshop will explore principles from Deal’s Smart Stepfamilies program and provide strategies to navigate the complex relationships involved with blended families.
The cost of the professional workshop is $80/person and includes a workbook, breakfast and catered lunch. The program is approved for 6 core hour Continuing Education Units for Georgia Licensed Professional Counselors, Licensed Clinical Social Workers and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists. Workshop for Remarried Couples, August 12-13
Remarried couples are invited to attend Deal’s “Becoming a Successful Stepfamily” workshop. Tailored for couples who have blended families, the workshop will be held Friday, August 12, 7:00 p.m.-9:30 p.m. and continues on Saturday, August 13, 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
This comprehensive program will include practical advice and methods for managing relationships and building a successful family. The cost of couples’ workshop is $65/couple and includes 2 workbooks, light snacks on Friday and breakfast on Saturday morning.
