Eagle Ranch Welcomes New Director of Spiritual Life

Eagle Ranch welcomes Andy Nelson as its first Director of Spiritual Life.

Andy Nelson last served as youth pastor and part of the teaching team at Spanish River Church in Boca Raton, Fla. Prior to that, he served as the Student Ministry Director of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Gainesville.

“I’ve known about and loved Eagle Ranch for a long time. The mission of helping children and families in crisis to glorify the Lord is something that I wanted to join. It’s clear to see something powerful is happening in this place,” Nelson said.

As Director of Spiritual Life, Nelson will be responsible for pastoral care, discipleship, and the overall spiritual outreach to children and families served by the Ranch.

“We are a Christ-centered ministry, and we felt it was important to have a position in our organization that is dedicated to inspiring others on their spiritual journey,” said Eagle Ranch Founder and Executive Director Eddie Staub. “Andy’s knowledge of our community and his experience in working with youth will be a great asset to the children and families we serve, as well as our staff.”

Nelson received his bachelor’s degree in speech communication from the University of Georgia. He is currently completing his master’s studies in religion with Reformed Theological University. Andy and his wife, Emily, have four children, and both originate from the Norcross, Ga. area. Andy is an avid Atlanta Braves and Georgia football fan and enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf.

“At the end of the day, it’s people knowing and understanding the love of God and the grace of God that will transform their hearts and their lives,” Nelson said.
